Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By booking services with Handyman Experts, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all services provided by Handyman Experts LLC, operating in Manhattan and Brooklyn, NYC.
2. Service Description
Handyman Experts provides residential and commercial handyman services including but not limited to: repairs, installations, maintenance, painting, electrical work, plumbing assistance, furniture assembly, and general home maintenance. The scope of each project will be defined during the booking or initial consultation.
3. Booking and Scheduling
Service bookings are confirmed through our online booking system or by phone. A valid appointment confirmation is required for all scheduled services. Customers are responsible for providing accurate property access instructions and ensuring the work area is prepared.
4. Pricing and Payment
Pricing is provided upon request and may vary based on service complexity, materials required, and travel time. Payment must be made in full upon completion of services unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
5. Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel scheduled services with at least 24 hours notice for a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the estimated service cost. No-shows will be charged the full service fee.
6. Property Access and Safety
Customers must provide safe and unobstructed access to the work area. Handyman Experts is not responsible for damage caused by inaccessible conditions or hazards not disclosed prior to service. All work is performed in accordance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
7. Liability and Warranties
Handyman Experts warrants that all work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. All materials provided carry manufacturer warranties unless otherwise noted. Handyman Experts is not responsible for pre-existing property damage or structural issues discovered during service.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for disclosing any special conditions, allergies, or restrictions (e.g., pets, valuables, hazardous materials). Customers must ensure the property is safe for our technicians to work in. Any property damage caused by the customer is the customer's responsibility.
9. Limitation of Liability
Handyman Experts' total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service in question. Handyman Experts is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County.
11. Changes to Terms
Handyman Experts reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
